Abstract:Objective To investigate the efficacy and feasibility of closed reduction for avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament under arthroscopy, and to provide reference basis for the selection of surgical methods. Methods During Aug.2013 and Aug.2014,40 patients with avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament were selected. They were divided into the observation group (n=20) and the control group (n=20).The observation group was treated by closed reduction and internal fixation under arthroscopy;the control group was treated with traditional open reduction and internal fixation.Lysholm knee function scores and other indicators of patients before the surgery,6 weeks after surgery and six months after surgery between the two groups were compared. The curative effect between the two groups was evaluated. Results The 40 cases were followed up for 6 weeks to 6 months.6 weeks after operation, there was only 1 case of dislocation in the observation group, while in the control group there were 5 cases. There was no infection in the observation group and 1 case in the control group. After 6 weeks,Lysholm score was 70.32±2.97 points in the observation group and 70.12±1.51 points in the control group.Six months after operation,Lysholm score was 85.68±3.11 points in the observation group and 72.16±2.51 points in the control group. The knee function score of Lysholm in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Closed reduction for avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament under arthroscopy can significantly improve Lysholm knee function score of 6 weeks and six months after surgery. It is a kind of mature treatment for avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament with practical significance.
