TGF-βand burn wound healing

Abstract：Transforming growth factor-β( TGF-β) is one kind of multifunctional cytokine , which plays an important role in the regulation of burn wound healing process ,affecting the speed and quality of burn wound heal-ing,and may influence the burn wound prognosis .At present,the main achievements of TGF-βresearches were from the fields of acute wound healing ,tumorigenesis and tumor invasion .In the field of burn wound healing ,much atten-tion were focused on the role of TGF-βin epithelial to mesenchymal transition ( EMT),scar formation,burn wound healing outcome and immunity function .And the medicine intervention targeted to abnormal expression of TGF-βaf-ter burning has also attracted attention .This review focuses on the correlation between TGF-βand burn wound heal-ing,and provides some useful information on clinical research and treatment of burn wound .
