Occipital condyle fractures:historical review and current status of diagnosis and treatment

Abstract:In recent years ,the detection rate of occipital condyle fracture ( OCF) has been increasing ,due to the widespread use of computed tomography ( CT ) as a diagnostic tool in patients with craniocervical trauma .It should not be regarded as a rare injury ,and its incidence must be weighed carefully in clinical practice .This paper reviews the epidemiology,clinical manifestation,imaging,classification,diagnosis and treatment of occipital condyle fracture.
