Clinical comparative analysis of conservative treatment and vertebroplasty in treating osteoporotic vertebral body bone necrosis

Abstract：Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral body bone necrosis through the vertebroplasty.Methods From May 2010 to Mar.2013,40 cases of osteoporotic vertebral bone necrosis were selected as the research objects.According to the hospital number of single and double the pa-tients were divided into the control group and the observation group,with 20 cases in each group.The control group received conservative treatment,and the observation group received vertebroplasty.The recovery of the body and the quality of life of patients were compared between the two groups.Results The vertebral height,VAS score,ODI, function and quality of life in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group ( P<0.05 ) ,and there were statistical significances.Conclusion The clinical effect of the treatment of osteoporotic ver-tebral body bone necrosis with vertebroplasty is significant.
