Research progress of classification and treatment of periprosthetic femoral fractures after hip replacement

Abstract：Human hip replacement is increased gradually with the development of artificial hip prosthesis design,and doctors must face treatments for its complications resulting from periprosthetic femoral fractures .Postop-erative femoral fracture around the prosthesis is commonly caused by trauma or aging .It is more complicated and its incidence is gradually increased .Because of the restrictions in patients ’activity and survival period ,there are a lot of difficulties in the treatment and a high treatment failure rate ,which severely threatens patients ’safety.Hence,it is necessary to comprehensively analyze the fracture type , choose reasonable treatment methods so as to improve the effect of treatment .This article mainly reviews the treatment progress of periprosthetic femoral fractures after hip re-placement ,so as to provide reference for its treatment .
