Application of vacuum sealing drainage in high intestinal fistula

Abstract：Objective To observe and evaluate the clinical effect of sealing drainage vacuum ( VSD) in the treatment of high intestinal fistula .Methods From Mar.2014 to Dec.2015,12 high small intestinal fistula pa-tients, including 7 males and 5 females,aged from 32 to 65 years(with an average age of 52 years),were treated with VSD combined with nutritional support and anti-infection treatment . Results All the patients were healed without operation.The average healing time was 45.3 days.Conclusion The use of VSD in the treatment of high intestinal fistula can effectively control the infection ,and can significantly shorten the healing time .It is worthy of promotion.
