Effect of post-disaster reconstruction on first-aid efficiciency of Deyang city

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of post-disaster reconstruction on first-aid efficiency of Deyang city by comparing the first-aid condition before and after “5 · 12” Wenchuan earthquake rescue .Methods Pre-hospital emergency visit data of “120” emergency net medical hospitals in Deyang city in 2007 and 2011 were col-lected by the questionnaire and the emergency visit records and the emergency resources changes between 2007 and 2011 were compared .The data in 2007 and 2011 was designed as the control group and the study group , respec-tively.The differences of cases number,disease constituent ratio,visit time,arrival time,return time, and rescue time of pre-hospital medical care were compared between the two groups .Results The Deyang first-aid resources were significantly optimized and improved after post-disaster reconstruction(P>0.05).The demographic data had no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).The dispatch time,arrival time and return time in the study group were (1.79 ±0.63) min, (13.81 ±5.23) min, (13.25 ±5.18) min, respectively, which were sig-nifncantly shorter than those in the control group , which were (2.36 ±0.52) min, (15.13 ±6.34) min, (14.02 ±4.66) min,respectively.The pre-hospital death rate in the study group (6.82%) was lower than that of the con-trol group (9.03%, P<0.05).Conclusion The post-disaster reconstruction has significantly improved the effi-ciency of pre-hospital medical care .To attach great importance to improve the rural pre-hospital medical care will probably be the way to solve the development problem of pre-hospital medical care in Deyang city .
