Research progress of the anterolateral ligament of the knee

Abstract：As a recently described anterolateral structure at the knee,the anterolateral ligament(ALL) plays a role in maintaining the stability of the knee and limiting internal rotation and forward movement of the tibia. A better understanding of its features will help to guide the clinical assessment and provide a basis for realizing its repair and reconstruction after injury.This paper mainly reviews recent research developments of the incidence,a-natomy,histology and biomechanics of the ALL.
