Analysis of diagnosis and treatment of retroperitoneal hematoma in 73 cases

Abstract：Objective To study the diagnosis and treatment of retroperitoneal hematoma ( RH) .Methods We retrospectively analyzed 73 cases of RH that were treated in Fuling Central Hospital of Chongqing from Jun. 2006 to Jun.2013.Fifty-five male and 18 female patients who ranged from 20 to 70 years old were included in this study,respectively.The average age of the patients was 45 years.Forty-two patients were treated with emergent lap-arotomy and 15 patients were treated with interventional operation,while the rest 16 received conservative treatment. Results Of all the 73 cases,70 were cured and 3 died.Conclusion Satisfactory clinical results can be achieved if organ injuries and the combined RH are treated simultaneously.Interventional operation is playing more and more important role in treating RH.
