Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of simple patella fracture patients treated by skin tension belt under arthroscopes. Methods Totally 69 cases of simple patella fracture from Jan.2011 to Feb.2014 were separa-ted into 2 groups.Thirty-eight cases in the experiment group were treated by skin tension belt under arthroscopes and 31 cases in the control group received routine open operation. In the experiment group,24 were male and 13 were female with an average age of (31.4 ±0.3)years (19-65 year). In the control group,17 were male and 14 were female with an average age of (30.3 ±0.2)years (18-61 year). The hospitalization time, operation time,heal-ing time and joint function score were compared between the two groups. Results After follow-ups of more than half a year, the hospital stay and healing time in the experiment group were significantly less than those in the control group( P<0.01) .The knee function in the experiment group was significantly better than that in the control group ( P<0.05) .Conclusion Skin tension belt under arthroscopes for the treatment of simple patella fracture patients is worthy of wide clinical promotion for having advantages as less invasion, stable fixation, quick function recovery as well as exploration and management of combined injuries at the same time.
