Autologous flap patches combined with survived nail bed in the repair of nail bed defects of 80 patients

Abstract:Objective To discuss the effect of autologous flap patches combined with survived nail bed in the repair of nail bed defects in 80 patients.Methods Ninety fingers with nail bed defect in 80 patients(60 males and 20 females aged from 18-48 years with an average age of 32 years) were treated with autologous flap patches combined with survived nail bed.Packaging was completed after a thin layer grafted in the nail bed.Sutures were removed after 2 weeks and the treatment effect was observed.Results All fingers survived in stage I.Necrosis de-veloped in 3 cases and healed after dressing changed.All cases were followed up for 6 to 12 months.The excellent and good rate was 96.7%(87/90).Three cases were fair (fair rate 3.3%).Conclusion Autologous flap pat-ches combined with survived nail bed in the repair of nail bed defects resolve such problems as separation between repair materials and nails and fragile.It is simple and satisfactory and worthy of promotion.
