Abstract:Objective To explore the incidence ,diagnosis and treatment of deep venous thrombosis of low-er extremity veins in severe multiple trauma patients .Methods Thirty-three cases [28 males and 5 females with an average age of(41.2 ±11.1)years] of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis associated with multiple trauma admitted in our department from Mar .2013 to Mar.2014 were retrospectively analyzed .Analysis was applied in the incidence, risk factors, diagnosis, prevention and treatment .Results The incidence of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis was 4.2%(33/785);all 33 patients were confirmed by ultrasound;there was no significant difference in serum D-dimmer level between multiple trauma patients accompanied with thrombosis and without thrombosis ;vena cava filter was implemented in patients who accepted elective operations .Conclusion The incidence of thrombosis in severe multiple trauma patients is higher than that in common hospitalized patients .The screening and diagnosis of thrombosis mainly depend on ultrasonography .The value of D-dimmer in diagnosis of thrombosis is limited in the diagnosis of multiple trauma patients .
