Abstract:Objective To investigate the predictive value of serum levels of procalcitonin ( PCT) ,C reative protein ( CRP) and APACHEⅡscores in patients with MODS after severe multiple trauma .Methods A total of 65 patients with multiple trauma treated in our hospital from Jan .2011 to May 2013 were divided into non-MODS group and MODS group. The PCT,CRP and APACHEⅡscores of patients were calculated on the 1st,3rd,5th day after injury and compared with those of ten healthy volunteers .Results Compared with the control group ,the level of PCT,CRP and APACHEⅡscores in patients with multiple trauma increased differently in the early period after inju-ry(P<0.05).The levels of PCT,CRP and APACHEⅡ scores in the MODS group were significantly higher than those in the non-MODS group(P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of PCT,CRP and APACHEⅡ scores can pre-dict the occurrence of MODS after severe multiple trauma earlier .
