Clinical application of vacuum sealing drainage in extremity and abdominal trauma

Abstract：The technique of vacuum sealing drainage ( VSD) has been performed in most areas of China .It controls the infection and promotes granulation by creating a continuous vacuum space around the wound and finally creates condition for the skin closure .The author combined the indication of VSD with its mechanism of action to-gether with past literatures to summarize its clinical application in the trauma of bones ,soft tissues and abdomen .
