Simulation training of nurses in the medical rescue of trauma surgery:an exploration into the triage training mode

Abstract：Objective To explore the role of triage training mode in the capability building of nurses in the medical rescue of trauma surgery.Methods Nurses were divided into two groups (group A,group B) depending on their experience of disaster rescue and training .Such two training models of simulated casualties and typical inju-ry were adopted in simulation training .Desktop maneuvers were conducted . All nurses did triage and filled the standard military tags .Accurate rates before and after the training were compared .Results The 30 nurses includ-ed into the training and evaluation were from the trauma surgery and divided into A and B groups ,with 15 in each group.The accurate rate of group A was significantly higher than that of group B (P=0.00049<0.05),with sta-tistical significance .After training,the accuracy of the group B was close to that of the experienced group A ( P=0.37),without significant difference .Conclusion Organized simulation triage training should be attached impor-tance .It can be employed to rapidly promote the nurses'medical rescue capability and improve their disposal ability of mass casualties .
