Nursing strategy during emergency management of severe trauma

Abstract:Objective To explore the nursing strategy during emergency management of severe trauma in the early in-hospital period .Methods We reviewed the data of 374 severe trauma cases who received emergency management in our hospital from Mar .2006 to Dec 2011 as research group,and the data of 26 severe trauma cases from Jan 2005 to Mar 2016 as control group .The nursing strategy ,time cost and other clinic data during emergency management were compared between the two groups .Results In the research group,20 cases died (mortality 5.35%) and 3 cases died ( mortality 11.54%) in the control group .The time cost in the emergency room ,special exam and pre-operation in the research group was less than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The fast track for the severe trauma shortens the emergency management time and space cost . And it requires health workers to enhance their emergency conception ,skill and the coordination ability of multi-departments .
