Curative effect comparison of different doses of monosialotetrahexosyl ganglisoside in treating acute spinal cord injury

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of different doses of Monsialotetrahexosyl Gan -glisoside(GM-1) in the treatment of acute spinal cord injury .Methods Eighty-two acute spinal cord injury pa-tients who were admitted into our hospital from Dec .2006 to Dec.2012 were retrospectively analyzed .The 82 pa-tients were divided into A ,B,C,D class based on injury scale with ASIA 92 and were divided into three groups rel-ying on the drug dose used:0-dose group,low dose group(20-40mg/d) and large dose group(100mg/d).The su-perficial sensory,motor,urinary function of patients at 24 hours,2 weeks,1 month and 2 months after injury were compared so as to evaluate the effect of different doses of monosialotetrahexosyl ganglisoside in treating acute spinal cord injury.Results After treatment,the efficacy recovery of shallow sensory and motor function in the three groups was significant with q-test(P<0.05),which had statistical significance.The efficacy recovery of urine func-tion in the three groups was significant with χ2-test(P<0.05),which had statistical significance.Conclusion GM-1 can promote the recovery of neurological function and has concentration -dependent effect for patients with spi-nal cord injury.Moreover,large doses of GM-1 used in spinal cord injury patients can better promote the recovery of neurological function ,especially in the acute phase of injury .
