Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application of self -locking cable in the treatment of periar-ticular injuries. Methods There were 61 cases of periarticular injuries .When performing fracture repair, the frac-tured bone end was exposed and reduced ,transverse drilling was applied at the bone ends ,which was fixed with self-locking cable,if necessary, fixed with cerclage or auxiliary screws;while repairing the ligament, the adjacent bone and ligament were exposed and then fixed with the self-locking cable. Results The follow-up of 58 cases was maintained for more than 6 months, with the overall excellent and good rate of 91.40%.Conclusion The self-loc-king cable is a good surgical method for repairing periarticular injuries ,which has the advantages of small incision , mini-invasiveness,simple operation, being consistent with the biomechanical principles ,early functional exercise, and less postoperative complications .
