Relationship between TNF-αand lung impact injuries under different glottis state

Abstract：Objective To study the relationship between TNF-αand lung injury induced by blunt chest trauma under different glottis states .Methods The TNF-αmRNA expression of the injured lung tissue in the 48 New Zealand rabbits was detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR) under the closed and open glottis states at designed time .Meanwhile,6 healthy New Zealand rats were taken as control .Results There was no remarkable difference in the expressions of TNF-αof lung tissue between the closed glottis group and the open glottis group after 2 hours after injury(P>0.05).But the TNF-αmRNA expression was obviously higher in the closed glottis group than that in open glttis group at 4,8,and 12 hours after injury(P<0.05).TNF-αmRNA expressions were much higher in injured lung tissue than that in control group at designed time (P<0.05).Con-clusion TNF-αis involved in the occurrence and development of traumatic lung injuries and plays a critical role in this process .The severity of lung injuries under the closed glottis state is significantly higher than that under open glottis state .
