An analysis of post-operative nosocomial infection of sev erely ill children
Abstract：Objective To investigate the risk factors and s ources of surgical infection of severely ill children，and discuss the use of pr ophylactic antibiotics.Methods Based on retrospective and prosp ective analysis of 202 cases of the severely ill and operated children with intu bation anaesthesia,the analysis of pathogenic bacteria mass spectrums was made. Results The sites of incisions and the lungs were the main targ ets of infection.Intubation was one of the risk factors of infection.The pathoge nic bacteria were transmitted from the medical personnel and the family members of the patients.Conclusion Aseptic manipulation,isolation of th e patients,prophylactic antibiotics and health knowledges for the family member s are very important for reducing post-operative nosocomial infections of sever ely ill children.
