Traumatic multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in 98 patients
Abstract：Objective To discuss the characteristics and tr eatment of MODS.Methods Retrospectively analyse the treatment and the mortality of the 98 patients with MODS.Results In the 9 8 cases,the total number of the failure organs was 284 and 46 patients died(46.6 %).The mortality of the patients with 2 organs failure was 17%,3 organs 44%,and 4 organs 96%.Shock existed in 53 cases and 42 cases were infected.The lung was b oth the earliest and the most frequent failure ogran(63 cases).Conclusio n (1)The more failure organs,the higher mortality is;(2)Shock and i nfection are the most predisposing factors to cause MODS;(3)Actively treating the primary injury,strenthening the early antishock and antiinfection,and prophy lactically protecting the function of each organ are all importment in the management of MODS.
