Warthin tumor of parotid gland complicated with human immunodeficiency virus disease infection:a case report and literature review

Abstract:Previous reports of Warthin tumor of the parotid gland were mostly male smokers,but cases combined with HIV infection are rarely reported.This article reports a case of Warthin tumor of parotid gland complicated with HIV infection.The patient had high HIV viral load with compromised immune function at the time of diagnosis.After ART,the volume of Warthin tumor in the parotid gland reduced,and the symptoms related to tumor compression were significantly alleviated.Based on the characteristics of this case and a review of the literature,HIV infection may be a risk factor for parotid Warthin tumor.Therefore,receiving ART actively is of great significance for HIV/AIDS patients.To improve the understanding of parotid Warthin Tumor combine with HIV/AIDS,the detailed report of the case is reported as follows.
