Abstract:The incidence of severe and refractory cases of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP)has been increasing, with immune impairment playing a critical role in its pathogenesis.Inflammatory indices, calculated from routine blood parameters, are a set of combined indicators that reflect systemic inflammation and show promise in the diagnosis and evaluation of MPP.Among these, the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio has been consistently recognized for its value in predicting disease severity, complications, and prognosis.Other inflammatory indices, such as the lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio,platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, and systemic immunoinflammatory index, also demonstrate clinical significance. This review provides a concise overview of the immune impairment mechanisms in MPP and highlights the potential applications of inflammatory indices, aiming to offer valuable insights for the early diagnosis and assessment of MPP.
