Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes of serum amyloid A(SAA)and Toll like receptor 4(TLR4)levels in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis, and to evaluate the correlation between SAA and TLR4 and pulmonary infection in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis. Methods One hundred and twenty-four patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis who came to our hospital from June 2020 to June 2023 were divided into infected group(n=31)and uninfected group(n=93)according to whether infection occurred. The correlation between SAA and TLR4 levels and pulmonary infection in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis was compared, and the receiver operating ROC curve was drawn. The predictive value of SAA and TLR4 levels for pulmonary infection in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis was evaluated.Result SAA(56.82±4.63)mg/L and TLR4(5.93±0.54)ng/mL in the infected group were significantly higher than those in the uninfected group(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that SAA and TLR4 levels were positively correlated with pulmonary infection in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis(P<0.05).ROC analysis showed that the areas under SAA,TLR4 and combined factor curves were 0.834,0.769 and 0.923,respectively.Conclusion SAA and TLR4 are highly expressed in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis complicated with pulmonary infection.SAA combined with TLR4 has a high application prospect in evaluating and predicting pulmonary infection in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis.
