A case report of AIDS with oyster shell syphilid and literature review

Abstract:Syphilis is a chronic infectious disease caused by treponema pallidum infection.Because of the similar route of transmission,HIV-positive people are prone to co-infection with syphilis.Oyster shell syphilid is a rare atypical secondary syphilid and may be a rare type of malignant syphilid.The disease is easy to be misdiagnosed,and early diagnosis is still a difficult problem.A case of AIDS with oyster shell syphilid diagnosed in our department is reviewed and summarized as follows,in order to provide some help for clinicians in the corresponding profession.
