Abstract:Objective This study aimed to investigate the relationship between interferon-inducible protein 10 (IP-10) levels and HIV DNA levels in HIV infected individuals undergoing long-term antiretroviral therapy(ART). Methods We enrolled 20 HIV infected individuals who had received ART and were followed up for 5 years were enrolled. Plasma IP-10 levels were measured using ELISA,and HIV DNA in peripheral blood was quantified using real-time quantitative PCR. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 software. Results Over the 5 years of ART,both IP-10 and HIV DNA levels showed significantly decreases, with the most pronounced decline observed during the first year of ART. IP-10 levels exhibited a positive correlation with HIV DNA levels (r=0.252,P=0.026). Conclusion In HIV infected individuals undergoing ART,IP-10 levels are positively associated with HIV DNA levels.
