Abstract:As an intracellular zoonotic pathogenic bacteria, Rhodococcus equi is widely distributed in natural soil, animal feces and other environments, which can easily cause diseases in cattle, pigs, horses and other animals, and human infections are relatively rare, and occasionally occur in immunodeficiency and agricultural and animal husbandry occupational exposure groups. This article reports a case of left lower limb soft tissue infection with abscess formation and bacteremia caused by Rhodococcus equi infection, which was cured by local debridement and effective anti-infection treatment.
