Abstract：In May 2018, National Health Commission offically issued a new Guideline for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (2018 Version). As for etiological treatment of hand foot and mouth disease, this guideline indicates that IFN-α spray or atomization and early intravenous drip of ribavirin can be effective. In this paper, antiviral treatment of IFN-α, ribavirin and new anti-EV-A71 viral drugs are further elaborated, and general treatment of hand foot and mouth disease is interpreted. As for the treatment of severe hand foot and mouth disease, this guideline has described in detail and no repeated instructions will be given herein.
