Abstract:Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is one of the common primary liver malignancy with an increasing incidence in China. Up to now, R0 resection has been regarded as the only potentially curative treatment for local lesion of CCA patients. The results of systemic chemotherapy and best supportive care in CCA patients with metastatic disease are disappointing due to limited improvement of overall survival and apparent resultant toxic side effects. Therefore, more locoregional therapies should be increasingly applied for patients' benefits.
