HIV infection with myelodysplastic syndrome in one case

Abstract:Anemia in HIV/AIDS patients can be caused by various causes, such as opportunistic infection, tumor, malnutrition, blood loss, drugs and diseases of the blood system. In the era of antiretroviral therapy, anemia caused by opportunistic infection, tumor and malnutrition is significantly reduced, while anemia caused by antiretroviral therapy drug toxicity is frequently common. This case hints clinicians from infectious diseases department that anemia caused by other causes in patients with HIV/AIDS cannot be ignored, clinicians should be vigilant to avoid misdiagnosis and mistreatment.
