Clinical analysis on multiple organ damage in 90 patients with severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome

Abstract:Objective To analyze clinical significance of multiple organ damage in patients with severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS), and to provide evidence for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods A retrospective clinical analysis of 90 patients diagnosed with SFTS and treated in People's Hospital of penglai was performed. Results Eighty-five patients appeared multiple organ damages, 92.22% patients with abnormal liver function, 91.11% patients with abnormal blood system, 80% patients with elevated levels of CK, 66.67% patients with elevated levels of CK-MB, 67.78% patients with ECG abnormalities, 71.11% patients with abnormal urine routine, 56.67% patients with elevated fasting blood glucose, 46.67% patients with neurological impairment. Conclusions Multiple organ damages of SFTS patients are mainly seen in liver, blood system, heart and nervous system, and most of them can return to normal. The heavier and the more organs affected, the disease is, the higher the mortality rate is.
