Abstract:In 2017, the global epidemic situation is relatively calm, accompanying with several influential events, such as the epidemic of cholera due to the war in Yemen and parts of Africa has affected millions of cases and caused thousands of deaths; the outbreak of plague in Madagascar covers 2600 cases; at the end of 2017, the intensity of influenza prevalent in the northern hemisphere reaches the peak within recent 10 years. In 2017, significant progress has been made in the development, research and utilization of some key vaccines. The research and development of Zika vaccine and AIDS vaccine have achieved many improvements. A Chinese vaccine targeting recombinant Ebola virus obtains the first clinical approval and is applied in the world. Cervical cancer vaccines appears on the market in Mainland China. The advent of two-in-one anti-HIV drug Juluca will greatly simplify HIV antiviral treatment. A variety of direct antiviral drugs to treat hepatitis C focus on the market in Mainland China. This article aims to reviews a few clinically relevant events.
