Abstract:Primary hepatocellular carcinoma (PHC) refers to primary liver malignant epithelial tumors, including hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Laboratory tests are the important means for PHC diagnosis, especially the clinical pathological examination is considered as gold standard. Following the acceptation of precision medicine by more and more people and currently rapid development of individualized treatment, laboratory tests are paid to more responsibilities for the early diagnosis, target molecular identification, tumor detection and prognosis assessment of PHC. This review focuses on the role of laboratory tests in PHC diagnosis.
