Advance in clinical application of ultrasound technology for noninvasive assessment of liver fibrosis

Abstract：Liver fibrosis may develop into liver cirrhosis and some of these further lead into hepatocellular carcinoma and liver failure. The assessment of the degree of liver fibrosis has important values for clinical treatment and prognosis. As a kind of new noninvasive method of evaluating liver fibrosis, ultrasound elastography provides a new thought for early diagnosis of liver fibrosis. In this paper, we reviewe the application of ultrasound elastography in the diagnosis of liver fibrosis.
