An investigation of the intestinal outpatient service in 8 station hospitals in North China

Abstract:Objective To investigate and evaluate the current situation of the intestinal outpatient service in 8 station hospitals in North China and propose corresponding countermeasures.Methods The investigation of intestinal outpatient service, including layout setting, staffing, work conditions, etc. was conducted in 8 station hospitals, which were selected by random number table method.Results Six hospitals had intestinal outpatient service with pre-service training and the establishment of related rules and regulations. Five hospitals were equipped with facilities for disinfection and four hospitals were equipped with triage signs, special window for intestinal medicine, etc.ConclusionSix of the eight station hospitals in North China have intestinal outpatient service to meet related requirements. But they still need to strengthen the intestinal outpatient service including the construction and the standardization of working procedures and system.
