Abstract:Natural killer (NK) cells, an important component of innate immune system, play a significant role in anti-viruses and anti-tumor cells in human body. The development and activation of NK cells are regulated by many cytokines and surface receptors. At present, the research on the development, maturation and function of NK cells has progressed from the level of transcription to the post transcriptional level. Being a non-coded mini RNA, microRNA (miRNA) plays a role in the post transcription regulatory mechanism. Recent studies have indicated that miRNA can regulate the development, maturation and function of NK cells in the post transcriptional level, and play different roles in different diseases. Here, this article summarizes the mechanism of regulation of miRNA related to the development and function of NK cells.
