Progress of molecular epidemiology of HIV in HIV-1 positive spouses/regular sexual partners

Abstract：As heterosexual transmission is gradually being the most important route for HIV-1 transmission, more and more studies focus on the transmission between spouses/regular sexual partners. This article reviews the prevalence and subtypes of HIV-1 among spouses/regular sexual partners, as well as the current intervention measures, expecting to provide some reference to the policies of HIV-1 prevention and control.
