Advances in the development of Rift Valley fever vaccines

Abstract：Rift Valley fever (RVF), which causes severe problems to public health and economy in Africa and Arabian peninsu-la, has caused great threat to the global health of animals and people. RVF is classified as the type"A"disease by the World Organiza-tion for Animal Health and RVF virus is also declared as one of biological warfare agents by the World Health Organization. This article focuses on the advances in the etiology, epidemiology and vaccines of RVF virus.
