Abstract:Venezuelan equine encephalitis (VEE) is a mosquito-borne, viral zoonotic disease. Although the case of VEE has not been found in China, with the development of international communications and personnel exchanges, the risk of the spread of VEE in China is increasing. There are no specific drugs and treatment regimens for VEE, so safe and efficient vaccine inoculation plays an im-portant role in reducing the outbreak of VEE. The authors summarize the latest research progress of VEE vaccines, in order to provide reference for novel vaccine research and the formulation of control strategies.
