Physicians should pay due attention to neglected tropical diseases

Abstract：The conception and scope of “neglected tropical diseases”(NTDs) are introduced and the worldwide efforts to control or eradicate these NTDs are included in this article. In combining with the brief case analysis, the authors focus on six NTDs which are easily neglected in clinical practice in China, and highly suggest enhancing clinical-laboratory communication to improve the diagnosis and treatment of NTDs.
