Abstract：The article introduces the notifiable infectious diseases epidemics occurring in Mainland China in 2014, and focuses on the epidemiological characteristics and the advances in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and researdes of infectious diseases occurring world-wide in 2014, such as Ebola virus disease, dengue, avian influenza, enterovirus D68 infection, Middle East respiratory syndrome, malaria, Chikungunya, tuberculosis, liver diseases and measles and soil-transmitted helminth infections.
