Abstract：As whole-genome sequencing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) makes it possible to understand Mtb at the molecular level, and the development of molecular biology and immunology provides a technology platform for the new diagnostic assays, there has been a rapid development in novel diagnostic assays designed to detect Mtb and its drug resistance. To help clinicians understand the existing novel assays for better application, the authors introduce the principles and features of the existing novel diagnostic techniques of tuberculosis.
