Abstract:The epidemiology of invasive Candida infections has changed markedly in recent years. Obvious changes also have taken place in the distribution of pathogenic fungi. Most of Candida isolates are susceptible to common antifungal agents, except C. glabrata and C. krusei. With more and more widespread and profound application of molecular biological techniques in researches of fungi, the level of early and specific diagnosis of fungal infections has improved significantly and the understanding of resistance mechanism of fungi is also much deeper. This article focuses on laboratory study on invasive Candida infections.
