Abstract:Parenteral nutrition plays a vital role in the perioperative recovery for patients with liver cirrhosis. Liver function is generally poor in patients with liver cirrhosis, which has an influence on surgery recovery and the healing of the incision. Postopera-tive recovery of liver function requires certain nutritional support, especially for the cirrhotic patients who can not eat after surgery, and parenteral nutrition is the only energy source for sustaining life. Bases on the review of the literatures, the authors mainly summarize the characteristics of parenteral nutrition support therapy for perioperative patients with liver cirrhosis, and explore whether unnecessary loss of nutrition can be avoided by changing the composition and ratio of parenteral nutrition, so as to provide an energy support regimen for surgery recovery in cirrhotic patients.
