Recent advances and future prospects in treatment of chronic hepatitis C

Abstract:In recent years, with the approval of direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) against the NS3/4A serine protease for use, the publishing of the results of clinical research on novel DAAs, and the approval of novel DAAs for use, a dramatical change in treatment of hepatitis C has taken place, and a new era of hepatitis C therapy with DAAs has begun. World Health Organization issued its first global hepatitis C treatment guidelines. American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and European Associa-tion for the Study of the Liver issued updated recommendations on treatment of hepatitis C online in time. This review focuses on the recent advances and future prospects in treatment of chronic hepatitis C.
