Abstract:To find a more reasonable strategy of bridge maintenance,a maintenance optimization method based on bridge reliability index and technical condition index is proposed in this paper, where reliability index and technical condition index are set as constraint functions, the present value of maintenance cost as objective function, and the maintenance time and maintenance meas-ures as optimization variables. The single-index and double-index optimization models of the an-ticorrosive painting are established on the basis of heavy-duty coating treatment(scheme A)and silane impregnation treatment(scheme B),and the optimization function is solved through the GA function in MATLAB software.According to the study results, during the 100years'bridge lifetime, when optimizing the maintenance with bridge reliability index, the cost of scheme A is 12.5%less than scheme B,but scheme A needs one more time maintenance;while when optimi-zing the maintenance with bridge technical condition index, the cost of scheme A is 25.1%more than that of scheme B,and scheme A needs one more time maintenance;and when optimizing the maintenance with both bridge reliability index and bridge technical condition index, the cost of scheme A is 17%more than that of scheme B.Compared with the single-index maintenance, the maintenance costs of double-index are obviously higher. The combined maintenance scheme(scheme A+B)is more economical than the single maintenance scheme, the cost of which is 26.4%less than that of scheme A,and 9.4%less than that of scheme B.
