Research on side lobe generation mechanism and suppression methods of Balise transmission system

Abstract：The side lobe problem is a typical problem in engineering application of Balise Transmission System (BTS).Side lobe generation mechanism is analyzed based on the electromagnetic theoretical models of BTS.The influences of several factors on side lobe performance,such as Balise I/O feature,mounting modes,mounting heights and Balise Transmission Module (BTM) receiving threshold are discussed.Some suggestions for side lobe suppression methods are given.Related analysis methods and research findings have certain guiding significances to system optimization and engineering application of BTSs.
