Scientific and technological innovation of rail transportation---trends and tasks

Abstract：This paper analyses and summarizes the needs for rail transportation resulted from the national strategies and the rail industry itself,in addition to the global technological and industri-al development trends in this field.And then,some important scientific problems to be resolved and a series of critical elementary technical bottlenecks to be broken for supporting the future de-velopment of China’s rail transportation are put forward.In what following,the innovation road-map including the strategic goals,working directions and the key tasks,etc,is outlined,which points out the future directions of scientific and technological innovation for the future develop-ment of rail transportation .
