Abstract：The high frequency inverter DC welding machine for maintenance on line to rail is presented in this paper. The main technical criteria reach the level of the overseas products, which is verified by the test of the Pro ducts Q uality Detection Center of the Ministry of Railways Department in China. After w elding, the metal lurgical phase tests verify that the scheme is feasible and reasonable. Some inv olved welding technology is satisfactory through lots of experiments by the Beij ing Railroad Bureau.
