Viscoelastic Dampers Adaptable to Wide-Environment Temperature

Abstract：Environment temperature is an important factor that affects energy dissipation capability of viscoelastic(VE-) material. Each type of VE-material has its optimal range of applying temperature. The energy dissipation capability would be limited if the environment temperature overstep the range. This limited the application of the VE-dampers to more structural types. The compound use of two different type of VE-material, which has different range of applying temperature, makes VE-dampers have good energy dissipation capability in a large range of temperature and enlarges the applying range of VE-dampers.
